You Gotta Trust Somebody

Look….I know you’ve been hurt.

I know somebody told your business.

I know you trusted the wrong person before and said, “Never again!”

But Girl… you gotta trust somebody.

You can’t build everything God has called you to build by yourself!

I know we love to say, “It’s just me and God” and

yes, there are some seasons when God will separate you and deal with you personally!

But God also created us for community!!

Everybody doesn’t need access to you, but somebody does.

You need somebody who can pray for you when you don’t have the words.

Somebody who can tell you, “Girl, you’re wrong” and you know it’s coming from love!

Somebody who celebrates you without competing with you!

Somebody who can see you getting tired and say, “I got you”!!

Somebody who knows the real you and recognize when something isn’t right!

That’s the benefit of the right community.

The right people don’t just clap when you win, they also help you get back up when you fall.

They hold you accountable.

They challenge your thinking.

They remind you who you are when life makes you forget.

But we allow ONE bad experience to make everybody pay for what one person did!!

Girl, that’s not community.

That’s also not healing either.

Wisdom says everybody cannot be in your circle.

Wisdom also says you need a circle.

It’s never about the quantity of people around you. It’s always about the quality.

Find the women who can handle your truth.

Find the women who will cover you without enabling you.

Find the women who can celebrate what God is doing in your life without making it about theirs.

Find the women who will PUSH you when you would rather quit.

Then go be that woman for somebody else!

Sisterhood isn’t just about finding people who will show up for you.

It’s about becoming somebody worth trusting too.

So yes, protect your heart and Use wisdom.

But Girl… you gotta trust somebody!!

You were not meant to do life alone.
